5 Make-up products I can’t live without!

Let’s imagine I’m going to a correction facility and I can only bring 5 make up items with me. It’s hard for me to cut this down to 5 coz my overall make up routine involves wayyy more than 10 products. lol So lets see what I consider most important to me out of all the make up stuff I own.

1.Concealer

I know I’ve lived perfectly well without these products before I got them(maybe I was just oblivious to my looks hahaha) but ever since I discovered them, I can never ever live without them or replace them with a dupe.

I’ve tried replacing this coz one time coz I had a sleepover and I forgot to bring this. I went over to Sasa to get some regular makeup sponge that I used prior to this beauty blender. And my makeup was just messed up without it. My foundation did not blend evenly or as nicely as it usually would and everything was just all over the place. Now I clearly see what a difference this sponge makes to my makeup routine and why its so pricey for just a sponge.(coz its not just your regular sponge it’s the Beauty Blender! haha) And the application used for makeups be it sponges, brushes or just your hands do make a difference on the finish you get.

• Solid Beauty Blender Cleanser (RM72)

Since I can’t get the Solid Cleanser anywhere in KL (that I know of) so I order it online. Sometimes it takes a couple of days and I always curse myself for not stocking them up. Let me tell you, NOTHING will clean the Beauty Blender as well as this does. Usually I’m not the type who buys a brush from the same brand coz its recommended to use with the powder, or a toner coz it works well with the same brand of cleanser coz that just sounds like a scam haha. Bourjois Malaysia!

Just less than 2 months back I asked Erecca to get me the Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Base Primer that I featured in my May faves when she was in UK coz they did not have it here in Msia. I'm pretty much obsessed with Bourjois and super curious to try their Healthy Mix line for as long as I can remember due to the massive positive reviews that I read. Couldn't ask Erecca to help me get those coz I didn't know my exact shades for them.

Aaaaanyway, I was just browsing through Sunway Pyramid's Facebook page to see whats new (coz Pyramid is my fav mall everrrr) when I saw this! and I went like hold on...WHAT! BOURJOIS store in Malaysia?! YES!

And it was love at first sight when I went there. I kept lingering and swatching up products haha. Imagine wanting something so bad and having no expectations whatsoever of getting

Clear Gel Mascara; for the brows?

Personally I've always had trouble with keeping my brows in place for the entire day when it comes to make up. No matter what I use to fill in my brows be it an eyebrow pencil or an eye brow powder, they always seem to partially disappear or go patchy come mid day mostly coz of my oily t-zone area (forehead).

I think that brows are the most important part of make up coz it affects how you look entirely.

Girls with perfectly trimmed and shaped brows always get my attention. hahah. I can leave the house without other eye related make ups (liner, shadow, mascara) but not without my brows!

Products I Regret Buying #1

I usually do extensive research before purchasing products but sometimes impulse purchase happens too. Coz I'm only human.. a GIRL human might I add. haha

Sometimes i'll get lucky and love the products that i bought out of curiosity but most of the time I'll hate them! but I still never learn my lesson and keep on repeating and repeating and regretting :p

So here goes on the products that I completely regret buying! I'm not gonna state the price coz then I'll feel bad about all the money that I wasted. I know people make mistakes.. but still! HAHAA

1. NYX Concealer Stick

I think NYX made this to prank people. I put it on, blended it out and went like wtf did it go? it disappeared o.o ... no coverage whatsoever. Is this some kind of a joke?! One try and I gave up and hated it completely. Trash

2. NYX Concealer Jar

What is this! Another regret. It does not cover, does not blend nicely, and not easy to work with. Haih.. I just wanna say..

Last Saturday was kind of a different one for me coz.. I went for TV commercial shoot for Clinelle which is a skin care brand that is pretty affordable and effective I shall say. I personally tried some of their products and I think it does to your skin more than the price you pay for and thats always a win win win when it comes to make up or skin care =D

Morning Skin Care Routine

My Morning skin care routine is a little simple and gentle compared to my massive night time routine but that doesn't mean it's not as important and I'll never skip these even if its a stay-at-home without make up day.

Cleanse

I use only The Body Shop Tea Tree Cooling & Creamy Facewash to cleanse my face in the morning without my Clarisonic. I used to use my Clarisonic in my morning routines but for the past month I cut it down to only at night as I feel that once a day sufficed for my current skin condition which is more stable now.

I have mad mad love for this Tea Tree cleanser in the morning coz it makes my face so cold and it wakes me up. Literally.Then I jump into the shower. I never let the hot water of the shower touch my face coz I have a bad habit of bathing with extremely hot water sometimes so hot that my chest turns red! Haha so it a big no no for the face. The skin on the face is so delicate that it can only take lukewarm or cold water. Ok enough blabbering

Tone

Thennnn I use the witch hazel to tone my face. No matter how clean my face feels, I’ll never skip this step or else I wont feel good about applying anything else on my skin after that. Haha

Sun screen

I cant even stress how important this step is. Some people skip this step mainly coz

Updated night skincare routine - No major breakouts in a month!

So I have made some changes in my night time skin care routine which I think has helped tremendously with my problematic skin and kept it clear for a whole month! Lets dive in shall we?

1.Loreal Gentle Eye & Lip Make up Remover (RM20? not too sure)

To remove my make up off, I’ve been using the good old Loreal Absolute Eye & Lip Make up Remover for my eye make up. I use waterproof liquid liner and waterproof mascara so this takes off every trace of eye make up.

2.Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil (RM150)
